I needed an intro track. This was born out of a conversation with my super hip friend about my music and he noticed that I haven't been making or releasing anything in a while. Just around that time I found a sweet acapella of that classy Cassie track. So I'm getting my pitch-shifting vibe on when I just arbitrarily throw in that James Taylor tune, just for giggles. It turns out that it actually sounds kinda neat, so I keep it. Now I'm at an impasse–how do I get back? As I'm filtering the JT track, the remaining bass provides a nice harmony for the high-pitched vocals and I just ran with it.
